About

For Ryan Marchbanks, land has never been just an investment. It's where some of life's most meaningful moments happen.

Growing up around the sandy creeks, hardwood bottoms, and pine ridges of Natchez, Mississippi, Ryan developed an early appreciation for the outdoors and the lessons it teaches. Hunting, fishing, and spending time on the land shaped his character long before he ever considered a career in real estate, instilling a deep respect for stewardship, hard work, and the relationships that are built outside.

Ryan graduated from Trinity Episcopal Day School before earning a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Pest Management from Mississippi State University. His education, combined with a lifelong connection to agriculture and the outdoors, provided the foundation for understanding the value of land beyond what can be found on a survey or appraisal.

In 2005, Ryan and his family purchased their first recreational timber property. Over the years, that property became far more than an investment. It became the setting for family traditions, lifelong friendships, unforgettable hunts, and countless memories. That experience continues to shape the way Ryan views real estate today. He believes the true value of a property isn't always measured by price per acre, but by the legacy it creates for the people who own it.

Before entering real estate, Ryan built a successful career in the oil and gas industry before becoming a business owner. Today, he co-owns Miss-Lou Pipe & Equipment and Natchez Culvert Company alongside his longtime friend and business partner, Adam Spence. Years in business reinforced the values that guide him today: work hard, communicate honestly, honor your word, and build relationships that last.

Ryan began his real estate career with Case Land Company, working alongside respected land broker Daniel Case, before joining Hopper. His passion lies in helping clients buy and sell recreational property, timberland, farms, hunting land, and investment property, while helping them recognize the long-term opportunities each property holds.

At the center of Ryan's life is his faith in Jesus Christ, along with his wife, Selah, their two sons, and the family and friends who have shared so many memories on the land they love. Whether walking a property with a client or enjoying time outdoors with those closest to him, Ryan is reminded that the greatest returns in life rarely come from a balance sheet.

Ryan believes the best properties don't simply grow timber or produce income. They become the backdrop for family traditions, lifelong friendships, and memories that are passed from one generation to the next.
