Maverick Harrison

For Maverick Harrison, caring for the land has always been more than a profession. It's been a way of life.

A lifelong resident of Rankin County, Maverick grew up helping maintain his family's cattle farm, where he developed a deep appreciation for agriculture, conservation, and the outdoors. Those early experiences sparked a lifelong passion for land stewardship that continues to shape both his career and the way he serves his real estate clients today.

After graduating from Simpson County Academy, Maverick attended Delta State University, where he played football and earned a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences. He later graduated from the Mississippi State Fire Academy and began his career as a firefighter with the Reservoir Fire Department. Serving others during emergencies reinforced his commitment to helping people through some of life's most important moments.

Today, Maverick manages 16th Section Land Leases for the Rankin County School District, where he works with public lands and has developed extensive knowledge of land management, conservation programs, timber harvesting, tree planting, and market analysis. As a licensed FAA Part 107 Drone Pilot, he also serves as the district's Drone Administrator, capturing aerial imagery and managing multimedia for thousands of acres of 16th Section property. This unique combination of experience allows him to provide clients with valuable insight that extends well beyond a traditional real estate transaction.

Maverick enjoys helping clients buy and sell land, recreational property, timberland, and residential real estate throughout Rankin County and Central Mississippi. Whether evaluating a hunting property, helping a family purchase a home, or identifying opportunities within a tract of land, he believes informed decisions begin with knowledge and honest communication.

Outside of real estate, Maverick lives in Florence, where he attends First Baptist Church of Florence. He enjoys hunting, spending time in the Mississippi Delta, tackling home renovation and landscaping projects, and making the most of every opportunity to be outdoors.
